Why I built it

My name is Bill, and I created Nebula Timekeeping because I want small business owners and sole proprietors to have an easier way to keep track of time, whether they are tracking time for themselves or managing a whole team.

I know how quickly time tracking can become frustrating when a team is trying to stay on the same page. I saw that firsthand while working as a timekeeper at a large supermarket chain. That experience showed me how quickly time tracking can become confusing when punches, schedules, reports, and employee records are spread out or hard to manage.

Now I’ve teamed up with Codex to build a timekeeping system that helps make those everyday time-tracking problems easier to handle.

What it does

Nebula Timekeeping is designed to keep time tracking straightforward. Every account includes a virtual timeclock for punching in and out, plus a stopwatch for tracking smaller tasks separately from official time punches.

Employees can review their timeclock punches in a simple list view, and they can also use the “My Time” view, which turns punches into easy-to-read cards. These cards help show how long someone worked and whether any punches may have been missed.

The goal is to make time records easier to understand, easier to review, and less stressful to manage.

What’s free

Nebula Timekeeping Core is free to use and includes the basics for getting started.

With a free account, you can punch yourself in and out, review your own time, use the stopwatch for smaller tasks, and view simple reports. It is an easy way for someone to start keeping better track of time without needing a paid plan right away.

What Plus adds

Nebula Timekeeping Plus includes the Core basics, plus additional tools for small businesses and teams.

With Plus, you can enroll active employees, enter schedules for them, manage employees by jobcode, transfer time between jobcodes, and use scope management to delegate certain capabilities to employees when needed.
